Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between CJ Johnson (ranked 4522 p4p, 483 weight class) and Jido Shoemaker (ranked 8444 p4p, 667 weight class). Shoemaker has chosen Thunderstruck as his entrance music. Jido Shoemaker is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson throws a nice head kick!

Johnson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

CJ Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson lets loose with a powerful body kick. Shoemaker will feel that in the morning.
Johnson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
A nice inside leg kick there by Johnson. That's going to slow Shoemaker down.
Shoemaker takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Shoemaker takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Shoemaker lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Johnson at a distance.
Shoemaker tries to move into range but Johnson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Johnson and Shoemaker are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Johnson throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Shoemaker into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Johnson knows it - he's on the ropes flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). CJ Johnson!
