The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barton gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Troeng counters with a nice uppercut.

Barton shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Troeng napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Barton is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Troeng has escaped the position, nice work there.
Troeng is being controlled here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barton has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Troeng takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Barton's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Barton throws an elbow but Troeng slips to the side and avoids it well.
Troeng is trying to escape the position but Barton is controlling the position.
Barton seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Troeng for as long as he can get away with.

Barton has hold of Troeng's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Troeng tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Barton cranks the arm and Troeng screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Troeng, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
