PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Spartan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alois Hinterhuba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hinterhuba is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Motorhead, Orgasmotron. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Spartan tries to keep at a distance but Hinterhuba has taken the fight into the clinch.

Spartan manages to break the clinch.
Hinterhuba attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Hinterhuba shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Spartan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hinterhuba on the ground.
Spartan is desperately trying to improve his position but Hinterhuba has a good base and remains in mount.

Spartan tries to lock up and control but Hinterhuba gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Despite being in the dominant position, Alois Hinterhuba just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Spartan takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
A lull in the action here as Hinterhuba stalls from top position.
Spartan can't do much from the bottom here.

Hinterhuba is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Spartan has escaped the position, nice work there.

Hinterhuba tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hinterhuba has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Alois Hinterhuba showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Hinterhuba closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Well, if Hinterhuba is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Let's hope that Hinterhuba has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
