Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mills Perry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Dyrdek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Perry might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Way I Am by Eminem. The crowd seem to be enjoying Dyrdek's choice of entrance music: Dirty Girl. Rob Dyrdek acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mills Perry!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rob Dyrdek!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Perry.
Perry shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dyrdek pinned against the cage. Dyrdek gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rob Dyrdek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dyrdek tries for a takedown but Perry circles away easily

and Perry counters with a single leg into guard. Dyrdek didn't expect that.

Perry is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Perry is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Perry gets to his feet. Dyrdek looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Perry has his takedown stuffed

so Dyrdek counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Dyrdek landing some decent shots from guard.
Dyrdek trying to control the position from guard on top but Perry is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dyrdek stands up over Perry, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Perry is trying to control the position but Dyrdek postures up.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Perry holds on and takes a little breather.

Perry has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dyrdek can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Perry is breathing heavily.
Dyrdek wants to stand and escape but instead Perry has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Perry stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dyrdek swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Perry stops Dyrdek from standing up.
Dyrdek looking for a sweep. Not yet Dyrdek, not yet.
Perry works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Perry seems to be working for a kimura but Dyrdek defends the submission attempt.
Perry is looking to take a break and control but Dyrdek is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Dyrdek is trying to get back to full guard.

Perry is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Dyrdek has managed to free his arm - good work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Dyrdek blocking the ground and pound attempt from Perry.
Perry passes the guard and advances to mount!
Perry cracks Dyrdek with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Dyrdek is looking to improve his position but Perry isn't that keen on the idea.
Dyrdek holds on for dear life, controlling Perry's posture momentarily.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Dyrdek tries to buck Perry off but he can't manage it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Perry tries to control but Dyrdek wriggling away.
Dyrdek sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Dyrdek looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Dyrdek wants to get back to his feet.
Dyrdek is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Perry decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Dyrdek lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Perry backs up against the cage.

Perry shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Dyrdek is trying to get back to full guard.
Dyrdek wants to control but Perry is keeping busy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dyrdek wants to improve his position but Perry is controlling well.
Dyrdek is looking to control Perry's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dyrdek avoid being mounted?
Perry missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Perry is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Dyrdek misses with a body shot.
Perry doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Dyrdek decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Perry's guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mills Perry. That's going to take a lot out of him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dyrdek stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Perry looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Dyrdek!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mills Perry dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Perry stands and steps away. Dyrdek gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Perry scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Perry advances to full mount.
Dyrdek is still in real trouble! Can Perry finish him?

Perry is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Dyrdek seems to have recovered his senses.
Perry has his takedown stuffed
and Dyrdek counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Perry wants to clinch up but Dyrdek keeps it at a distance.
Perry misses with a takedown
and Dyrdek counters with a three punch combo that has Perry backing up. Perry nods at Dyrdek to acknowledge the strikes.


Perry is rocked!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Dyrdek shoots and scores a devastating slam takedown! Perry is unconscious as Dyrdek celebrates over his stricken foe!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Rob Dyrdek!
Rob Dyrdek is the new welterweight champion!
