Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elijah Jarvis (ranked 7963 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jvr Rane (ranked 25511 p4p, 0 weight class). Jvr Rane looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Elijah Jarvis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jvr Rane!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rane misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jvr Rane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rane looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Rane takes a swing at Jarvis's ribcage but misses.
Rane throws a series of punches but Jarvis avoids them all with ease.
Jarvis appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Rane throws a right and a left that Jarvis avoids nicely.
Jarvis could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Rane fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jarvis misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rane.
Rane throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jarvis.
An attempted straight right counter from Jarvis misses the target.

Jarvis shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Jarvis drops an elbow to the side of Rane's head.
Jarvis content to control rather than advance.

Jarvis stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Rane to get to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Jarvis shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rane's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jarvis is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Jarvis lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Jarvis seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Jarvis keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rane's head.

Jarvis stands and steps away. Rane gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Jarvis gets a clinch.
Come on Jarvis - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Jarvis is leaning against Rane and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Jarvis successfully pulls guard.

Rane got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jarvis has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rane has managed to get both his arms back between Jarvis's legs - danger averted.

Jarvis manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Jarvis gets control of Rane's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jarvis will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Jarvis lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jarvis controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Elijah Jarvis dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Rane misses with a combination

so Jarvis counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Jarvis distracts Rane with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Jarvis pushing down on Rane's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Jarvis stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Rane to get to his feet.

Jarvis feints and as Rane raises his hands in defense, Jarvis changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Jarvis postures up and lands a big shot to Rane's brow.
Rane is breathing heavily.

Jarvis stays in close to Rane's body and controls the position.
Jarvis forces his way into half guard.

Jarvis is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Jarvis controlling the action here.
Jarvis lands strikes from half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jarvis lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Rane is in trouble now - Jarvis has advanced to mount!
Jarvis cracks Rane with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Elijah Jarvis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Jarvis looking to control and managing it successfully.
Jarvis putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!


Rane is rocked!

Jarvis looking to isolate an arm here. Rane doesn't see it coming and as Jarvis extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Jarvis!
