Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeff Ayers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charles Glaunert!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ayers throws a nice head kick!

Ayers gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Glaunert to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Ayers has his hands clasped together around Glaunert's back. He's all about the action.
Ayers could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Glaunert is looking to stall here but Ayers recovers full guard.
Ayers wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Glaunert fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
No luck for Glaunert with that takedown attempt.

Glaunert clinches up with Ayers and pushes him back against the cage.
Ayers goes for a takedown attempt but Glaunert pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Glaunert clinches with his opponent.

Glaunert breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Glaunert has Ayers up against the cage in a clinch.

Glaunert decides to pull guard.
Ayers postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Glaunert controls Ayers momentarily but Ayers frees himself.

Ayers landing with the ground and pound.
Ayers chips away with some ground and pound.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Ayers throws a big right hand that misses.

Ayers stands up and waves to Glaunert to follow him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Charles Glaunert will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Glaunert darts in looking for a takedown but Ayers gets double underhooks and turns Glaunert into the cage.

Ayers is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Glaunert's half guard.
Glaunert is looking to control Ayers's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Glaunert avoid being mounted?
Ayers has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Ayers lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Ayers is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Ayers postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Glaunert looks a forlorn figure.

Glaunert is bucking up trying to escape but Ayers cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Ayers can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Glaunert is looking to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ayers lands a big shot there that rocks Glaunert but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Ayers connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Glaunert is in all sorts of trouble here.

Jeff Ayers overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Ayers looking to secure an arm triangle but Glaunert defends it well.

Glaunert wants to hold on but Ayers pushes him away.
