Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ban Gbus staying out of range there.
Ban Gbus is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Ban Gbus throws a jab but it's blocked by Laliberte.
Ban Gbus scores with a one two! Laliberte had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Ban Gbus tries to clinch but Laliberte is having none of it.
Laliberte lands a leg kick that knocks Ban Gbus off balance momentarily.

Ban Gbus throws a body shot but no joy.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Ban Gbus crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Laliberte - the referee stops the clock and Ban Gbus gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Laliberte. Ban Gbus manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Laliberte ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Olajide Ban Gbus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Laliberte lands with a kick to the ribs.
Ban Gbus takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Laliberte jabs Ban Gbus right on the nose. Ban Gbus blinks but takes it well.
Crunch! Laliberte slams his shin into Ban Gbus's torso.
Ban Gbus tries to move into range but Laliberte moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Oooooh!!! Laliberte has knocked Ban Gbus down with a huge combo! Laliberte steps away and waves a wobbly Ban Gbus back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Ban Gbus is rocked!
Ban Gbus tries to get into range but Laliberte steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Ban Gbus! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Laliberte scores the big KO victory!
