The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owen avoids a punch combination nicely.
Owen takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Groov bucks up and tries to throw Owen off but instead Owen has got his back!

Owen's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A close round but Rotefan Groov will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Groov slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Owen works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Groov is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Owen jumps guard and drags Groov to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Owen throws a low kick, looking for Groov's leg but Groov calmly moves out of range.

Maximo Owen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rotefan Groov.

Groov is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Owen is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
