Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josue Morin (ranked 24787 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Brodie (ranked 6147 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josue Morin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Brodie!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brodie clinches up with Morin and pushes him back against the cage.
Morin tries to break the clinch but Brodie is controlling the position.
Morin has had enough of the clinch but Brodie keeps him there for the moment.
Morin has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Brodie avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Brodie with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Morin is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Brodie has Morin pressed against the cage, preventing Morin from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Brodie is pressed up against the cage. Morin has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Brodie down to the mat. Brodie avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Brodie pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Morin gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brodie won't allow Morin to get back to his feet.
Brodie is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Brodie tries to stand but Morin is controlling from the bottom.

Brodie is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Morin could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Morin is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Morin has momentary wrist control but Brodie slips an elbow through the middle.
Brodie slips nicely into half guard.
Morin is trying to get back to full guard.
Brodie is looking to advance position but Morin won't allow it.
Morin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Brodie wants to work for an arm triangle but Morin is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Well, if Brodie is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Morin tries to get to full guard but Brodie has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brodie is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Brodie is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ryan Brodie dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Morin is looking to clinch but Brodie is avoiding it.
Brodie throws a series of punches but Morin avoids them all with ease.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brodie has his foot on Morin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Morin works his way back into a safe position though.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Brodie looks to land a combination but Morin avoids it well.

Brodie closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Morin trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Brodie manages to pass to mount!

Brodie is working for a guillotine from mount but Morin frees his head quite easily.
Morin tries to reverse the position but Brodie maintains control.
Brodie landing strikes from the mount and Morin is in trouble!
Brodie tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The referee warns Morin that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Brodie avoids the attempt from Morin to control.

Brodie has hold of Morin's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Morin manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Morin is bucking up trying to escape but Brodie cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Brodie has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Morin's face.

Brodie jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Morin manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Brodie lands a nice forearm strike.
Brodie happy to just control the position for now.
Brodie tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Ryan Brodie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Brodie throws a sloppy head kick and Morin moves out of range easily.

Brodie shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Brodie was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Brodie remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Morin is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Brodie asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Brodie grinds an elbow into Morin's temple.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Morin tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Morin is working to avoid the ground and pound but Brodie connects with a decent elbow.

Morin is pushing Brodie's head away, looking to escape. Brodie manages to hold on to the position though.
Brodie wants to stand but Morin has his arm trapped.
Morin tries to bench press Brodie off him but Brodie keeps the position.

Brodie tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Brodie takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
