Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rob Halaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kiyoshi Yamada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yamada has chosen B.o.B. - I Am The Champion as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamada is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Halaki.

Yamada bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Halaki's head backwards.
Yamada throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Halaki goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Yamada has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Halaki but great work by Yamada.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Halaki wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Yamada, who protects the arm well.

Halaki will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Halaki tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Halaki has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Halaki is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
