Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Merle Reilly (ranked 25413 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Humphrey (ranked 7484 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Humphrey will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Merle Reilly!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Humphrey!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jonathan Paton and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Humphrey throws a one two combo.

Reilly gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Reilly has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Humphrey off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Humphrey throws a series of punches but Reilly avoids them all with ease.
Humphrey throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Reilly.
As Humphrey looks to move away, Reilly throws a big counter combo but Humphrey just gets out of the way.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Humphrey lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Reilly backs up against the cage.

Reilly clinches up with Humphrey and pushes him back against the cage.
Humphrey has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Humphrey wants the takedown. Reilly is fighting it off but Humphrey persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Reilly's guard against the cage.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Humphrey accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Reilly could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Reilly has one foot on Humphrey's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Reilly manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Humphrey keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

The fighters are battling for position here. Reilly manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Reilly seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Reilly drops back looking for a leg! Humphrey is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Humphrey manages to kick Reilly off! Reilly jumps back into Humphrey's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jack Humphrey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Humphrey fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Reilly closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Humphrey wants to break free but Reilly has control.
Humphrey is trying to push Reilly away but Reilly has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Reilly has Humphrey pressed against the cage, preventing Humphrey from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Reilly tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Humphrey's elbow.

Reilly escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That was a close second round but I would say that Merle Reilly will probably get the nod.

Humphrey throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Reilly tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Humphrey is in Reilly's guard.
Reilly might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
