The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schou tries a head kick but it misses.
Schou tries for a takedown but Van Antwerpen sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Van Antwerpen swinging wildly here.

and Van Antwerpen counters with a left and a right that stings Schou.

Van Antwerpen moves into the clinch.
Van Antwerpen looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Van Antwerpen works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
A frustrated look appears on Schou's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Van Antwerpen is looking to take this one to the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Van Antwerpen has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Schou is trying to keep an underhook but Van Antwerpen manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Van Antwerpen has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Schou clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
A bit of a pause in the action here. Van Antwerpen controlling the positon.
Van Antwerpen lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
Schou is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Van Antwerpen has the hooks in. Schou is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Schou is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Schou is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Van Antwerpen off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Van Antwerpen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Schou swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Van Antwerpen seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Schou for as long as he can get away with.

Van Antwerpen swings around for an armbar but Schou sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Van Antwerpen's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Schou avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Schou won't allow Van Antwerpen to sweep him here.
Schou must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Van Antwerpen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Schou defends it easily.

Van Antwerpen is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Schou manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

That was a close second round but I would say that Rein Van Antwerpen will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Schou shoots in looking for a takedown but Van Antwerpen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Schou's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
