The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McKenzie changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Flynn looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Flynn tries to bench press McKenzie off him but McKenzie keeps the position.
McKenzie wants to control but Flynn is keeping him busy.

McKenzie goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Flynn rolls with the submission and now he's on top in McKenzie's guard! Nice work there by Flynn!

McKenzie will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
McKenzie tries to hold on but Flynn pushes him away.

McKenzie wants to control but Flynn is having none of it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
McKenzie manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
McKenzie tries to get to full guard but Flynn has control of the leg.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Horrible takedown attempt by Flynn or perhaps it was just good defense by McKenzie, which made it look bad.
