Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Carter (ranked 515 p4p, 69 weight class) and Bogdan Agapov (ranked 3271 p4p, 368 weight class). Agapov has chosen Dear Mr. Fantasy as his entrance music. Michael Carter has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Carter!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bogdan Agapov!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Roger Salmon.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

It looks like Bogdan Agapov has been cut.
Carter throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Agapov on the side of the head.
Agapov throws a series of punches but Carter avoids them all with ease.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Carter.
Agapov misses with a wild combination.
Agapov tries to land a leg kick but Carter saw it coming and moves away.
Carter throwing a counter right hand but Agapov manages to avoid it.
Agapov throws a nice looking combination but Carter bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Agapov throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Carter throws a big counter combination but Agapov scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Agapov misses with a two punch combination.
Carter went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Agapov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
It looked like Carter was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Carter looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A punch combination from Agapov misses.
Agapov swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Carter counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Carter connects with an inside leg kick.
Agapov falls off balance throwing a combination
and Carter counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Agapov throws a series of punches but Carter moves out of range.
Carter connects with the punch.
Agapov gets cracked there but stands up to it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Carter connects with a good right hand that stumbles Agapov. Agapov circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

That has opened up Bogdan Agapov's cut even more.
Sloppy strikes from Agapov. Those never looked like landing.
It looked like Carter was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Agapov.
Agapov takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Agapov looks winded!
Carter getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Agapov gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Carter gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Agapov is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Michael Carter!

Michael Carter spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
