Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donsone De (ranked 416 p4p, 65 weight class) and Skeng Man (ranked 511 p4p, 80 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Donsone De!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 15 - 1, fighting out of London, Skeng Man!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
De throws a sloppy head kick and Man moves out of range easily.
Good shot there by De.
De thuds his right hand into Man's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
No luck for Man with that takedown attempt.
Man chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before De can pounce on him.
A big right from De misses.
Man moves away from the strike by De.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Man dives in for a single leg takedown but De sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Some bone on bone action there as Man checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

De has Man up against the cage in a clinch.
We've been hearing reports that De has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

De gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

That's one minute gone in the round.
De controlling from the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Man throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Man is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. De is aware though and is defending well.
De postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Man escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. De gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
De is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
De scoring with punches to the head and body.

Man isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. De stacks Man on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by De!
De connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Man some visible discomfort.
De wants to control but Man is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Man is looking for a sweep.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
De cracks Man with a big right hand but Man just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
De lands an elbow.
Man takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Man can't do much from the bottom here.
Man sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Man gets back to full guard.

Man has his foot on De's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. De works his way back into a safe position though.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Man has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but De can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Man keeping moving, preventing De from controlling successfully.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
De won't allow Man to sweep him here.

De got a little sloppy there for a moment and Man has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, De has managed to get both his arms back between Man's legs - danger averted.
De distracts Man with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
De stays in close to Man's body and controls the position.
De advances position into side control!
Man tries to bench press De off him but De keeps the position.
Man regains half guard.
Man works his way to full guard. Good work.

Man working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. De doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. De manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
De won't allow Man to sweep him here.
De connects with a couple of short punches.
De is working Man over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Man has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but De can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
De trying to control but Man is working from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
De is in close to Man's body, working some short punches and elbows.
De slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
De lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
De wants to lay and pray for a moment but Man keeps working.
Man takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Man manages to get back to half guard.
Man is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Man looking for submissions off his back.
De landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
De looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Donsone De dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


De lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
De throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Man tries to counter by closing the distance.
De keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
No luck for Man with that takedown attempt.
De rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Man connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Man moves out of range of the strikes.
Man shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. De defends it nicely.
Donsone De has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Skeng Man.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
De leaves Man with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
De tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Man swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Man walks into a jab.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
De lands a hook to the side of the head.
Man prevents a takedown attempt there.
Man blocking some punches.
A short right hand to the side of the head by De.
Man changes levels and goes for a takedown here. De fights it off and pushes away nicely.
De throws a leg kick that misses.
Man doesn't manage to clinch there - De circles away.
De tests Man's chin there with a solid looking shot.
De swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

De has taken the fight to the clinch.
De lands a left hand that snaps the head of Man backwards.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
De working some nice short punches in the clinch.


Man is rocked!
Man goes for a takedown attempt but De pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
De fails with the takedown.
De lets loose with a powerful body kick. Man will feel that in the morning.
Man shoots for a takedown but De saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
De throws a leg kick

and Man decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in De's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now De is on top in guard.

De postures up and lands a big shot to Man's brow.

Man is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. De is aware though and is defending well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
De pushes down on Man's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Well, if De is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Donsone De overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Man is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
De slips a nice elbow through Man's hands, connecting with Man's forehead.
De is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Man can do to turn this around?

Man is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but De pulls his head out easily.
De trying to control the action but Man is working from the bottom.
De landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
De has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Man looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Man on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
De prevents Man from improving his position.
De working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Man is still in real trouble! Can De finish him?
De seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Man gets back to full guard.
De gets to his feet and stands over Man, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Man felt that one! De unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Man from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Donsone De!
