Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buck Steed (ranked 3917 p4p, 385 weight class) and Ghost Lightning (ranked 3442 p4p, 352 weight class). Ghost Lightning will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ghost Lightning!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steed misses with a looping left.
Steed throws a body shot but no joy.
Lightning slips under a jab from Steed.
A telegraphed right hand from Steed misses the target.
Steed is looking to clinch but Lightning is avoiding it.
Lightning rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Steed moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Steed lands a jab to the head.
Steed darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Steed scores with a sloppy right hand. Lightning should have avoided that one.
Lightning avoids a punch combination nicely.
Steed keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Steed looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

Lightning lands with a shot to the body.
Steed bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Steed pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Steed moves out of range of the strikes.
Lightning fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Steed misses with an uppercut.
Steed misses with a leg kick.

Steed rushes Lightning and presses him up against the cage.
Lightning wants to break the clinch but can't.
Lightning softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Lightning tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Steed's elbow.
Lightning is trying to force a seperation but Steed has the dominant position.

Nice body punch from Lightning - that landed with a thud.
Lightning is trying to push Steed away but Steed has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Steed doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Steed creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
A bit of stalling here from Steed.
Lightning tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Lightning misses with a hook to the ribs.
Steed lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Lightning backwards.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Steed blocks an uppercut.
Steed cracks Lightning with a nice body shot.
A left hand lands to the body for Steed.
Lightning throws a punch but it's blocked by Steed.
Steed keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lightning's efforts to push away.
Steed is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Steed tries to work over Lightning's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Come on Steed - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Lightning breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nice body punch from Steed.
Steed misses with a double jab.
A big left from Steed misses.
Steed misses with a low kick.
A nice side step and Lightning releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Lightning bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Lightning tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Steed takes a swing at Lightning's ribcage but misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Steed lands with a straight right. Lightning didn't see that one coming.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lightning. Steed does a little dance to reset his feet.
Lightning misses with a double jab.
Lightning ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Steed turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Steed throws a shot from downtown. Lightning moves away and avoids it.
Steed throws a lazy right hand but Lightning sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lightning keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Steed.
Lightning misses with a straight left.
Lightning is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Steed bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Steed throws a poor cross that misses

and Lightning counters with a crisp right hand that drops Steed! Lightning lets Steed back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Buck Steed will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Lightning ducks under a wild hook from Steed.
Steed throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A countering left hand to the body from Lightning misses.

Lightning sends Steed crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Lightning is motioning to the referee to let Steed up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Steed is rocked!
Steed looks to land a combination but Lightning avoids it well.
Lightning looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Steed tries to clinch
and Lightning counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Steed ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Steed misses with a lunging right hand
and Lightning counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Steed closes the distance but Lightning moves to the side
and Lightning rattles Steed with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Steed tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Lightning dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Steed stiff and motionless on the mat!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ghost Lightning!
