Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lupaus throws a big shot that misses.
Portgas shoots in and drives through. Lupaus sprawls well.
Lupaus changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Portgas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Portgas drops back looking for a leg! Lupaus is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lupaus manages to kick Portgas off! Portgas jumps back into Lupaus's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Portgas thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Lupaus wants to sweep but no luck.

Lupaus thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Portgas shoots in and drives through. Lupaus sprawls well.
Portgas gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Lupaus stuffs the takedown.
Nuppu Lupaus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ace Portgas.
