Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harold Mcclintock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kenny Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Harold Mcclintock!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Mauricio Rocha and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries to clinch up but Mcclintock circles away and keeps his distance.

Mcclintock closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mcclintock lands in his opponent's guard.
Silva is trying to keep Mcclintock in close.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mcclintock pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Silva is keeping the position for now.
Mcclintock working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Mcclintock postures up and lands a big shot to Silva's brow.
Mcclintock not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Silva not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Mcclintock is in close to Silva's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Mcclintock is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Mcclintock looking to sit in guard and control but Silva gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Mcclintock is trying to control the position but Silva postures up.
Mcclintock wants to get back to his feet but Silva is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Mcclintock wants to sweep but no luck.
Mcclintock really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The referee warns Silva that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Silva is trying to control but can't.
Mcclintock lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Silva preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Silva wants to control but Mcclintock is keeping busy.

Mcclintock is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Mcclintock is stalling here. Silva is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Mcclintock seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Silva has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Silva decides to stand up, so the ref orders Mcclintock to his feet.

Mcclintock shoots in and bounces Silva off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

so Mcclintock counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Silva lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Mcclintock!
Mcclintock wants to control but Silva is having none of it.
Silva tries to control but Mcclintock wriggling away.
Mcclintock doing his best to control the position. Can he escape?

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mcclintock can do anything to dispel that myth.

Silva can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mcclintock is looking to escape.
Mcclintock tries to hold on but Silva pushes him away.

Silva pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Silva can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mcclintock is looking to escape.

Silva stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Mcclintock goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Silva drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Mcclintock's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Mcclintock is working to avoid the ground and pound but Silva connects with a decent elbow.
Mcclintock is looking to regain half guard here but Silva keeps moving and retains side control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Mcclintock closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kenny Silva will probably get the nod.

Mcclintock shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Mcclintock fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Silva is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Silva keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Silva sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Silva manages to get to full guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Mcclintock trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Silva wants to get back to his feet but Mcclintock is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Mcclintock is pushing down on Silva's leg trying to pass to half guard. Silva is fighting to maintain full guard but Mcclintock has managed to sneak the leg through.
Mcclintock seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Silva is trying to stand.
Silva is looking to control Mcclintock's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Silva avoid being mounted?
It looks like Mcclintock is going to stand back up.
Mcclintock is keen to just control but Silva is a slippery customer.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Silva tries to roll over but Mcclintock keeps him under control.
Silva moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Mcclintock throwing strikes from guard but Silva blocks nicely.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Mcclintock feints and as Silva raises his hands in defense, Mcclintock changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Silva controls Mcclintock momentarily but Mcclintock frees himself.

Silva has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Mcclintock off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

and Mcclintock decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silva's guard.
Silva is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Mcclintock keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Silva is working for a submission of some sort.

and Mcclintock counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Mcclintock seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Silva does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Mcclintock is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

And that's the end of the fight!
Harold Mcclintock comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Mcclintock has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
