Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Cash (ranked 24545 p4p, 0 weight class) and Serb Killer (ranked 5859 p4p, 595 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Mauricio Cash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Serb Killer!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Colin Fotheringham and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Killer instigates a clinch.

Killer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Cash closes the distance and clinches up with Killer, looking for a takedown. Cash pushes Killer against the cage but Killer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Cash shoots in looking for a takedown. Killer tries to sprawl out of it but Cash keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Killer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Killer throws a leg kick but Cash moved away.

Killer closes the distance and clinches.
Killer wants a takedown but no success here.
Cash tries to pull guard but Killer holds him up against the cage and eventually Cash drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mauricio Cash. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cash fails to pull guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Killer lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Killer misses with a head shot. Cash uses the momentum to regain guard.
Cash will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Cash is adopting a defensive guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Killer is looking to stand up but Cash won't let him.
Cash keeping moving, preventing Killer from controlling successfully.
Killer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Killer postures up in Cash's guard and throws a big left but Cash blocks it.
Cash is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Killer is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Cash wants to work for an arm triangle but Killer is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Killer can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Horrible takedown attempt by Killer or perhaps it was just good defense by Cash, which made it look bad.
Killer dives in and grabs Cash's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cash pushes down on Killer's head and hops out.
Cash seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Nice takedown defense from Killer. No joy for Cash on that attempt.
Killer looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Killer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cash, pushing him back against the cage.

Killer pulls guard successfully.

Cash avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cash is in close to Killer's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Killer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cash. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Killer looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cash is one step ahead there.
Cash scoring with punches to the head and body.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Cash throwing strikes but missing.
Cash throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Killer works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Serb Killer dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Cash dives in and grabs Killer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Killer pushes down on Cash's head and hops out.
Serb Killer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cash misses with a few strikes there.
Killer is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Killer clinches up against the cage.

Killer pulls guard.
Cash is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Killer trying to control the position here.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cash accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Killer is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Killer tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Cash keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Killer's head.
Killer has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Killer utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Killer has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Cash is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Killer.
Killer is trying to control Cash's posture but Cash avoids it.
Killer trying his best to control but Cash has mounted him.
Cash breaks from Killer's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Killer really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Cash looking to finish Killer with some ground and pound. This is bad for Killer!
Killer is wriggling around trying to escape.
Killer wants to get back to his feet.
Killer is wriggling around trying to escape.
Cash has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Killer's face.
Killer tries to hold on but Cash pushes him away.
Cash has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Cash is working for a guillotine from mount but Killer frees his head quite easily.
Killer throwing hammer fists to the chest of Cash. What's that going to do exactly?

Killer is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Cash prevents Killer from getting the reversal.
Cash pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Cash cracks Killer with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Killer tries to improve his position but Cash has taken his back! Cash has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Killer tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Cash pushes Killer away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Mauricio Cash!
