Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Richard Beastly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Lilke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beastly is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lilke looks to score with a jab to the body but Beastly is just out of range.
Beastly is breathing heavily.
Beastly slips a jab and a cross from Lilke.
Lilke scores with a jab to the jaw.
Mike Lilke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Lilke, right into the meat.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lilke shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Beastly but Beastly pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Beastly blocks a jab.
Lilke misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Beastly doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Richard Beastly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Lilke.
Lilke digs a right hand into Beastly's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Beastly's gas tank.
Lilke wants to break free but Beastly has control.

Lilke jumps guard and drags Beastly to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Beastly tries to free his leg and advance position but Lilke is retaining full guard.
Lilke wants to stand and escape but Beastly is having none of it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Lilke throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lilke wants to clinch.
Lilke lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Lilke misses the shot to the body.
Lilke throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Beastly fails with the takedown

and Lilke decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Beastly's guard.

Beastly bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lilke's guard.

Beastlyis looking to pass into half guard but Lilke pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Lilke is in guard.
Lilke wants to get up but he can't break Beastly's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Beastly manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Beastly can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lilke is looking to escape.
Lilke wants to control but Beastly is having none of it.
Lilke's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Beastly lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Beastly is stalling here but it's allowed Lilke to get half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Well, if Beastly is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Mike Lilke dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Lilke wants to clinch.
Lilke shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Beastly counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Lilke is not content to let Beastly control the position.
Beastly looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Beastly throwing shots but Lilke is blocking nicely.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Beastly is trying to control the action in half guard but Lilke is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Lilke clinches but Beastly breaks the clinch

and Beastly decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Lilke's guard.

Lilke is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Beastly is controlling him.
Beastly looking to sit in guard and control but Lilke gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Beastly is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Lilke wants to pass the guard but Beastly is keeping the position.

Beastly throws some shots to the body, keeping his opponent honest.
Beastly is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Beastly is keen to just control but Lilke is a slippery customer.

Lilke throws a head kick that misses.
Lilke fails to land with a series of punches.

Beastly is nestled in close to Lilke, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Beastly is keen to just control but Lilke is a slippery customer.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lilke can do anything to dispel that myth.

Lilke moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Beastly stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lilke swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Beastly wants to sweep here but Lilke controlling him for the moment.
Beastly looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Lilke puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Lilke perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
