The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rostov throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ewing tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rostov is in Ewing's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ewing has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Rostov has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Rostov pulls guard successfully.
Rostov looking for a sweep. Not yet Rostov, not yet.
Ewing really is a fat lump.
Rostov is striking off his back. Ewing thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Rostov avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ewing.
Rostov trying to control but Ewing postures up.
Rostov strikes from the bottom but Ewing uses the opportunity to move to side control.
Rostov tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Ewing presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Rostov tries to improve his position but Ewing has taken his back! Ewing has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Rostov tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Ewing pushes Rostov away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
