The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gerra shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jordison as he jumps to the side.

and Gerra counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jordison's guard now.

Gerra cracks Jordison with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Gerra moves to back control.

Gerra tries to keep control of the position but Jordison is staying busy.
Gerra is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Gerra is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Jordison is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Jordison wants to pass the guard but Gerra is defending well.
