Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ray Tacket (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Boyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fred Boyle acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Ray Tacket!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Fred Boyle!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tacket clinches up with Boyle and pushes him back against the cage.
Knees to the body from Tacket.
Boyle looking for a takedown.
Boyle tries for a takedown but Tacket manages to get underhooks.
Boyle jumps guard but Tacket stands there with Boyle around his waist. Boyle gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Ray Tacket has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fred Boyle.

Tacket ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Tacket no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Boyle wants to get up but he can't break Tacket's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Tacket looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Tacket working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Boyle doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Boyle manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Boyle trying to control the position from guard on top but Tacket is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Tacket is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Tacket looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Boyle has picked Tacket up and slammed him! Tacket can't keep hold of the triangle and Boyle manages to pass to side control!
Boyle wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tacket keeps working.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Tacket feints and as Boyle raises his hands in defense, Tacket changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Boyle controls Tacket momentarily but Tacket frees himself.
Tacket tries to stand but Boyle is controlling from the bottom.

Tacket showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Tacket is breathing heavily.
Tacket wants to get up but he can't break Boyle's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Tacket is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Boyle wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Tacket is now in half guard.
Boyle pushes Tacket off looking to stand but Tacket dives back in and keeps control.

Boyle might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Tacket kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Tacket is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Nice takedown defense from Boyle. No joy for Tacket on that attempt.
Boyle closes the distance looking to clinch
and Tacket counters with a left and a right that stings Boyle.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Boyle looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Tacket!
Tacket tries to hold on but Boyle postures up.
Boyle lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Boyle avoids the attempt from Tacket to control.
Tacket is squirming around, avoiding Boyle's attempts to control the action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ray Tacket dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Boyle throws a right and a left that Tacket avoids nicely.

Tacket rushes Boyle and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Tacket ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Tacket no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Boyle trying to stand up but can't free himself from Tacket's guard.
Boyle is looking to work some ground and pound but Tacket has wrist control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Boyle thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tacket looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Boyle stops Tacket from standing up.
Tacket is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Boyle pushes down on Tacket's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Tacket is refusing to be controlled, as Boyle sits in half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Tacket tries for a takedown but Boyle sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Boyle misses with a double jab

and Tacket counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Boyle's guard now.

Tacket gets to his feet. Boyle looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

and Tacket counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Tacket wants to control from the top but Boyle keeps moving.

Boyle is trying to control the position but Tacket postures up.

Tacket is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Boyle is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Boyle has escaped and now he's on top!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Tacket utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Tacket is trying to keep Boyle in close.
Boyle stands up over Tacket, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Tacket is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Boyle wants to stand but Tacket has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Tacket gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Tacket effectively controlling the action here.
Boyle fails to pull guard.
Boyle wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Tacket's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Tacket clinches up with Boyle and pushes him back against the cage.
Boyle fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Tacket successfully pulls guard.
Boyle wants to control from the top but Tacket keeps moving.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Tacket has momentary wrist control but Boyle slips an elbow through the middle.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Boyle trying to control but Tacket is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boyle slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Boyle wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Tacket, who protects the arm well.
Tacket manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Tacket wants to lay and pray for a moment but Boyle keeps working.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Tacket prevents Boyle from improving his position.
Boyle is looking to escape.
Tacket is looking to stall here but Boyle recovers full guard.
Tacket knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Boyle on the ground.

Boyle lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Tacket!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Boyle trying to control but Tacket is having none of it.
Boyle is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Tacket is looking to improve his position but Boyle isn't that keen on the idea.
Tacket wants to hold on but Boyle pushes him away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Tacket tries to improve his position but instead Boyle has taken his back!

Boyle is persistently looking for the submission but Tacket is defending it well.
Boyle tries to get the hooks in deep but Tacket pushed the leg off.
Tacket is really stuck here.
Fred Boyle has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ray Tacket is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Tacket is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

And that's the end of the fight!
