Mahones kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is This Is My BOOMSTICK. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mahones pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Mahones looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Mahones throws a wild body kick that George sees coming a mile off.
Mahones on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

George shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mahones's guard.
George sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mahones's guard.
George looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
George scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Mahones is staying active underneath George, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Mahones knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for George on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

George is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mahones looks like he's trying to stand up.
George has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

George is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mahones is just riding it out for now. George eventually gives up the hold.
George passes the guard and advances to mount!

George is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Mahones is surviving well by controlling George's body position as best he can.
Mahones is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, George has taken his back.

George is working for a rear naked choke. Mahones is not defending it well and George has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Mahones refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Mahones's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

A very excited looking Tearrius George rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
