The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Chad Campbell and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hurtz throws a combination that misses
and Hart counters with a left and a right that stings Hurtz.
A head kick misses from Hurtz.
Hart takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Hurtz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hart swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hurtz looks for a takedown but Hart sprawls well.
Hurtz fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
As Hurtz looks to move away, Hart throws a big counter combo but Hurtz just gets out of the way.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hart circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hurtz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hart manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hurtz shoots in for a takedown but Hart shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and Hart counters with a three punch combo that has Hurtz backing up. Hurtz nods at Hart to acknowledge the strikes.

Hurtz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hart swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Hart will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hart feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hurtzs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Hurtz doesn't manage to clinch there - Hart circles away.

and Hart counters with a left and a right that stings Hurtz.
Hurtz lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Hurtz.

Hart fires out a quick counter leg kick but Hurtz just manages to avoid it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hurtz fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hart avoids it really well and circles away.
Hart gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Hart breaks from the clinch.
Hart closes the distance and pushes Hurtz back into the cage.
Hart gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Hart is looking for a kimura but Hurtz is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hart to get the leverage.

Hurtz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hart's waist but Hart gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hurtz off to one side.

Hurtz is breathing heavily.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Hurtz enables Hart to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hurtz manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Hart is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hurtz can do to turn this around?
Hart gets to his feet. Hurtz looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Hart closes the distance and pushes Hurtz back into the cage.
Hart drags the fight down to the ground.
Hart is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hurtz defends well.
Hart pushes a forearm under Hurtz's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Hurtz is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
