Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between LeRoy Jenkins (ranked 6226 p4p, 593 weight class) and Mike Killsonsight (ranked 6057 p4p, 580 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Joseph Jones and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins lands a slapping body shot.

Killsonsight drives through and clinches with Jenkins against the cage.

Killsonsight gets control of Jenkins's arms and successfully pulls guard. Killsonsight will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Killsonsight is looking to stand up but Jenkins isn't so interested in that idea.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jenkins drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jenkins jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Killsonsight fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jenkins to the ground. Killsonsight is now in Jenkins's guard.

Jenkins is looking to stand up but Killsonsight isn't so interested in that idea.

Jenkins has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Killsonsight can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Killsonsight got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jenkins has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Killsonsight has managed to get both his arms back between Jenkins's legs - danger averted.
Jenkins wants to stand up but Killsonsight is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Killsonsight wants to get up but he can't break Jenkins's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Killsonsight should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Jenkins had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Killsonsight defends it easily.

That was a close round but I would say that LeRoy Jenkins will probably get the nod.

A lazy body kick from Jenkins

and Killsonsight counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Killsonsight.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jenkins is on top in guard.

Jenkins throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Killsonsight fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jenkins sprawls well initially but Killsonsight persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Well, if Killsonsight is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Killsonsight really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jenkins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jenkins bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Killsonsight's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Killsonsight can do anything to dispel that myth.

Jenkins has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Jenkins looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Killsonsight is fending him off so far but Jenkins persists. Nope, Killsonsight circles away and we're back to standing.

Killsonsight manages to break the clinch.
Jenkins fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Jenkins gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Killsonsight postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jenkins is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Killsonsight, into his guard.

I think Jenkins has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
