The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ferguson's waist but Ferguson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Diaz off to one side.
Diaz lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Ferguson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ferguson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Ferguson dives in and grabs Diaz's left leg, looking for a takedown. Diaz pushes down on Ferguson's head and hops out.
Ferguson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Diaz sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ferguson somewhat.

Anderson Diaz is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Diaz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
