Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Tucker (ranked 4769 p4p, 564 weight class) and Andre Cardoso (ranked 3526 p4p, 449 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Tucker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Andre Cardoso!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Donatello Bradman and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cardoso feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Cardoso works over Tucker with some ground and pound from guard.
Cardoso cracks Tucker with a solid left hand.
Cardoso wants to control from the top but Tucker keeps moving.

Cardoso stands up and waves to Tucker to follow him.
Tucker misses the shot to the body.

Cardoso throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Tucker tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cardoso is in Tucker's guard.
Cardoso slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Cardoso stands up and waves to Tucker to follow him.

Cardoso moves into the clinch successfully.
Cardoso throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Cardoso tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Tucker avoids it.

Our sources have told us that Tucker has been working on his elbows in the gym.

Tucker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Cardoso gets a clinch.
Tucker is trying to break the clinch but Cardoso has him pressed against the cage.
Cardoso using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Tucker has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
A nice right hand lands inside from Tucker.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Tucker.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Still in the clinch, Tucker scores with a nice short uppercut.
Tucker tries to circle away but Cardoso has him pinned against the cage.

Cardoso escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Cardoso looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Tucker is looking to get back to is feet but Cardoso passes into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Tucker is not content to let Cardoso control the position.
You can see the frustration on Tucker's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Cardoso is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tucker is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Cardoso throws a strike aimed at the side of Tucker's head but Tucker avoids it well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Cardoso tries to score with some ground and pound. Tucker controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cardoso is looking to take a break and control but Tucker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ground and pound from Cardoso seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cardoso wants to finish this one by submission but Tucker is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Cardoso.

Cardoso is landing with some decent strikes but Tucker is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Cardoso is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Tucker can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Andre Cardoso showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

A nice combination there by Tucker.
Tucker ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Tucker cracks Cardoso with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Cardoso tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Tucker pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Cardoso is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Tucker!
After winning the bout, John Tucker thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
