Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alva Davis (ranked 5973 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viet Reek (ranked 5951 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Davis scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Reek is trying to control but can't.
Davis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Reek on the ground.
Reek works his way to full guard. Good work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reek is pulling down on Davis's head. It's preventing any offense from Davis, at least for the moment.
Davis really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Reek has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Davis is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Davis manages to break the clinch.

Reek closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Davis quickly recovers to half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Well, if Reek is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Reek trying to mount his opponent but Davis defends it.
Davis is looking for a sweep. Reek is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Reek stalling.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Davis wants to improve his position but Reek is controlling well.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Reek misses with a lunging right hand
and Davis counters with a two punch combo.

Davis gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Reek to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Reek looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Reek tries to stand but Davis is controlling from the bottom.
Davis utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Reek seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Reek is working Davis over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Davis has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Reek has passed into side control.
Reek content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Reek lands a nice forearm strike.
A lull in the action here as Reek stalls from top position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Reek wants to stand but Davis has his arm trapped.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Viet Reek dominated that round.
That's time! Davis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Reek shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Reek showed some decent athleticism there.
Reek is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Reek keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Let's hope that Reek has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Reek seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Davis does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Davis wants to control but Reek is keeping busy.
Reek has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Reek controlling from the full mount.
Reek can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Davis is looking to escape.
Davis is bucking up trying to escape but Reek cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reek cracks Davis with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Reek content just to control the position here.
Reek is landing with some decent strikes but Davis is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Davis is rocked!

Oh Davis is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Reek controlling from mount.
Reek manages to capitalize on a mistake by Davis to take his back!
Reek scores with punches to the body.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Reek has his arm under Davis's chin here. Game over son! Reek squeezes tightly and Davis is forced to tap out!
