Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kris Terry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Anderthorn Winnsleth!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Bruno Hogan and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Terry connects with a high kick.

Terry drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Winnsleth throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Terry really is a fat lump.

Terry gets a clinch.

Winnsleth's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Terry is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Winnsleth's half guard.
Terry takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Winnsleth is trying to get back to full guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Terry connects with a nice short shot to Winnsleth's temple.
Terry is figuring out what he wants to do next.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Terry has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Terry moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Winnsleth.

Winnsleth is looking for a sweep.
We've been informed that Winnsleth has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Terry lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Winnsleth is trying to control Terry's posture but Terry avoids it.
Winnsleth might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Terry haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Terry stands up and beckons Winnsleth to his feet.

Winnsleth blocks a head kick by Terry.
Winnsleth lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Terry closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Winnsleth to the mat! Winnsleth manages to get full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Winnsleth isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Terry stacks Winnsleth on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Terry!

Terry decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Winnsleth is breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Winnsleth looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Terry has picked Winnsleth up and slammed him! Winnsleth can't keep hold of the triangle and Terry manages to pass to side control!

Terry is looking to take a break and control but Winnsleth is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Winnsleth tries to buck Terry off but Terry is having none of it.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Terry lands a nice forearm strike.
Winnsleth takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Terry scores with punches from side control.
Winnsleth tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Terry wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Terry looks up at the clock and then as Winnsleth takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Terry smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Winnsleth is not content to let Terry control the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Terry is chipping away with strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Terry's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Winnsleth stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Terry.
A slow jab from Terry misses its intended target.
Winnsleth lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Winnsleth takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Terry bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Winnsleth tries to bench press Terry off him but Terry keeps the position.

Winnsleth takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Winnsleth sneaks out the side door and pushes Terry away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Terry changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Winnsleth looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Winnsleth bucks up and tries to throw Terry off but instead Terry has got his back!
Winnsleth is trapped and Terry is scoring with shots to the head and body.
Terry is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
Terry gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
Winnsleth looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
You can see the frustration on Winnsleth's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Winnsleth is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Terry connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Winnsleth to escape the position.
Terry is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Winnsleth. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Terry just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Terry seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Winnsleth for as long as he can get away with.

Terry continues to stall.
Can Winnsleth hold on?! Terry is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Terry slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Winnsleth is trying to stand back up.
Terry is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Winnsleth can do to turn this around?

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well Terry has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
