And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Eamon Mullen!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ferguson gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Ferguson tries to break free but Mullen pushes him back against the cage.
Ferguson is working Mullen over against the cage.
Ferguson takes an elbow to the temple.


It looks like Al Ferguson has been cut.

Mullen breaks the clinch.

Ferguson forces Mullen back against the cage and clinches.

Mullen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mullen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mullen shoots in for a double leg but Ferguson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Eamon Mullen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mullen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ferguson, pushing him back against the cage.
Ferguson tries to pull guard but Mullen won't allow it.

Mullen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ferguson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ferguson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mullen fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Mullen throws a right and a left that both miss.
Mullen shoots in looking for a takedown. Ferguson tries to sprawl out of it but Mullen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ferguson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Ferguson gets to his feet - Mullen follows without any prompting.

Mullen darts in and clinches Ferguson up against the cage.

Mullen gets control of Ferguson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mullen will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Ferguson wants to stand and escape but instead Mullen has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Mullen postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ferguson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Mullen, into his guard.


Mullen is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Mullen moves into the clinch.
Mullen content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Mullen stalls.
Mullen continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
Ferguson jumps guard but Mullen stands there with Ferguson around his waist. Ferguson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Mullen gets underhooks to prevent Ferguson's takedown attempt.
Mullen has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ferguson takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Mullen gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ferguson to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Ferguson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Ferguson works over Mullen with some ground and pound from guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mullen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ferguson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ferguson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Mullen is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Ferguson to the mat. Ferguson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Ferguson wants to get back to his feet but Mullen passes into half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Eamon Mullen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Mullen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Mullen passes Ferguson's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Ferguson throws the kick towards the body but Mullen avoids it.

Eamon Mullen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Mullen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
