Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Blair Wall (ranked 5961 p4p, 0 weight class) and Loopey LaJoneses (ranked 4266 p4p, 0 weight class). Loopey LaJoneses is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Blair Wall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Loopey LaJoneses!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wall shoots in looking for a takedown. LaJoneses tries to sprawl out of it but Wall keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. LaJoneses manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
LaJoneses pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
LaJoneses fails in his attempt to clinch.
LaJoneses throws a head kick that misses.
LaJoneses throws a right and a left that both miss.
Wall seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Wall with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling LaJoneses to score with a decent uppercut.


It looks like Blair Wall has been cut.

LaJoneses clinches up against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
LaJoneses is trying to break free.

LaJoneses gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Wall regains guard.
LaJoneses controls from within his opponent's guard.
Wall pulls LaJoneses in close to prevent any damage.
Wall might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wall is trying to control the position but LaJoneses postures up.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

LaJoneses slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Wall shoots in and drives through. LaJoneses sprawls well.
LaJoneses throws a counter combo.

LaJoneses closes the distance and clinches.

LaJoneses is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Wall got a little sloppy there for a moment and LaJoneses has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wall has managed to get both his arms back between LaJoneses's legs - danger averted.
LaJoneses has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Wall won't allow LaJoneses to sweep him here.
LaJoneses is trying to control the position but Wall postures up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
LaJoneses fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wall avoids it really well and circles away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Wall is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in LaJoneses's half guard.
LaJoneses trying to control here.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
LaJoneses slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
LaJoneses not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Wall makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

LaJoneses closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Wall jumps guard and drags LaJoneses to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
LaJoneses wants to stand but Wall has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Wall working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. LaJoneses doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. LaJoneses manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
LaJoneses has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
LaJoneses trying to control the position from guard on top but Wall is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
LaJoneses wanted to stand there but Wall had control of the position.
LaJoneses is looking to work some ground and pound but Wall has wrist control.

LaJoneses trying to control but Wall is working from the bottom.

Horrible takedown attempt by LaJoneses or perhaps it was just good defense by Wall, which made it look bad.
Wall seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
LaJoneses tries for a takedown but Wall sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Wall has taken the fight to the clinch.
Wall keeps control of LaJoneses as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
A right handed body shot lands from Wall.
LaJoneses has Wall pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Wall manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Blair Wall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Loopey LaJoneses.

Wall lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
LaJoneses is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Wall tries to pull guard but LaJoneses won't allow it.
Wall is pressed up against the cage. LaJoneses has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Wall down to the mat. Wall avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
A thudding body kick lands there by LaJoneses!
LaJoneses dives in for a single leg takedown but Wall sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
LaJoneses is breathing heavily.

Wall gets a takedown into half guard.
LaJoneses trying to control here.

Wall trying to control from half guard but LaJoneses is working away.

LaJoneses looking for subs from the bottom but Wall mounts him!
LaJoneses slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
LaJoneses trying to control but Wall postures up.
LaJoneses is trying to stand up here but Wall is controlling him well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wall winds up and cracks LaJoneses with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
LaJoneses is trying to stand.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Wall lands a nice short elbow.
LaJoneses wants to control the action here but instead Wall manages to pass to full mount!
LaJoneses tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Wall landing strikes, looking to finish!


It looks like Loopey LaJoneses has been cut.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
LaJoneses is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Wall scores with a couple of good head shots there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Blair Wall dominated that second round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


LaJoneses looks for a takedown but Wall sprawls well.

Wall closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
LaJoneses tries to get to full guard but Wall has control of the leg.
Blair Wall overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Wall is sneakily working for an arm triangle but LaJoneses sees it coming and defends easily.
Wall looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Wall is keen to just control but LaJoneses is a slippery customer.
LaJoneses moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
LaJoneses wants to stand and escape but Wall is having none of it.

Wall with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Wall stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. LaJoneses swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wall won't allow LaJoneses to get back to his feet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Wall takes one to the chin there.

LaJoneses clinches.

Wall has clasped his hands together around LaJoneses's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
LaJoneses is looking to get back to his feet here but Wall is keeping cool and he's managed to take LaJoneses's back.
LaJoneses tries to escape the position.

LaJoneses is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Wall punishes LaJoneses with strikes from the back mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Wall punches LaJoneses on the ear.
I really don't envy LaJoneses right now.
Wall avoiding LaJoneses 's attempts to control his hands.
LaJoneses trying to get back to his feet but Wall is in full control for now.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Wall is not going to allow LaJoneses to sit and survive in this position.
