And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kobe Beefus!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henson fails to land the takedown.
Beefus cracks Henson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Beefus fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Henson, pushing him back against the cage.

It looks like Oswaldo Henson has been cut.
Beefus keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Henson's efforts to push away.
Henson jumps guard but Beefus stands there with Henson around his waist. Henson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Henson seems a little lost for a moment, as Beefus dominates the positioning.
Henson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Beefus sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Henson is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

You can see the frustration on Henson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Henson is in all sorts of trouble here.
Henson is squirming around, avoiding Beefus's attempts to control the action.

Beefus stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.

Beefus looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Henson manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Beefus keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Beefus breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Beefus shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Henson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Henson tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Henson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Henson tries to control the position but Beefus now has his back.
Henson is trying to break free.
Beefus trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Henson doesn't escape.
Beefus throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage.
I really don't envy Henson right now.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Beefus has the hooks in. Henson is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Henson is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Beefus.

Beefus is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Henson has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Beefus stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Beefus wants it to stay on the feet.

Henson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Henson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Beefus is working away from the top position though.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Let's hope that Beefus has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Henson is trying desperately to improve position.

Beefus tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Beefus misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Beefus unloads with some shots from mount but Henson bucks and avoids them well.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Beefus darts in and clinches Henson up against the cage.

Henson looking to sit in guard and control but Beefus gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Henson wants to improve his position but instead Beefus has moved into half guard.

Beefus stands up and beckons Henson to join him on the feet.

Beefus shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Henson's guard.
Henson wants to get back to his feet but Beefus passes into half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Henson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Beefus is working away from the top position though.

Beefus drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A lull in the action here as Beefus stalls from top position.

Kobe Beefus comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Beefus has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
