Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Antony Boyle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Warren Justice!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Justice has Boyle up against the cage in a clinch.

Justice breaks from the clinch.
Boyle shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Justice as he avoids it easily.

and Boyle counters by moving into the clinch.

Boyle manages to pull guard.

Justice passes Boyle's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Justice is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Boyle doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Justice.

Boyle pushes Justice off looking to stand but Justice dives back in and keeps control.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Boyle throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Justice works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Justice kicks Boyle off and gets to his feet.
Boyle swats away the attempt to clinch by Justice.
Boyle half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Justice gets caught napping as Boyle dives in and scores a takedown. Justice manages to retain guard.
Justice is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Boyle throws a big right hand that misses.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Justice holds on and takes a little breather.

Boyle trying to stand up but can't free himself from Justice's guard.

Boyle might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Justice has his foot on Boyle's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Boyle works his way back into a safe position though.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Justice has a closed guard, preventing Boyle from standing up.
Justice pulls Boyle in close to his closed guard and prevents Boyle from doing any damage or advancing position.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Justice. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Justice working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Boyle doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Justice is tightening it up a little... Boyle has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Boyle reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Boyle taps out! Nice BJJ there by Justice!
