The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Smith or perhaps it was just good defense by Anderson, which made it look bad.

Smith gets caught napping as Anderson dives in and scores a takedown. Smith manages to retain guard.
Smith has momentary wrist control but Anderson slips an elbow through the middle.
Anderson scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Anderson is in close to Smith's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Anderson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Anderson is working Smith over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Anderson looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Smith can't hide his disappointment, as Anderson celebrates the victory.
