Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Apollo Creed (ranked 1204 p4p, 179 weight class) and Carson West (ranked 16133 p4p, 818 weight class). Creed's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, James Brown - Living in America. Apollo Creed could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Carson West's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West misses with a body kick.
West throws a sloppy head kick and Creed moves out of range easily.
Creed displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as West throws out the jab.
Carson West seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
West connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
West connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
West chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Creed can pounce on him.
West looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Creed closes the distance looking to clinch
and West counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Creed on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Creed has been working on his boxing with his coaches at River's Edge Gym in the buildup to the fight.

It appears Creed was looking to counter with a kick there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
West will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Creed pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Creed takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

West walks into a straight right hand and goes down! Creed rushes to a neutral corner so the count doesn't get delayed but West has made it back to his feet on 5. He's OK so we're back to the action.
This has been an exciting period of action!
West rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Creed moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
West swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
West scores with a jab. Creed acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Creed misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
West is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Creed with a body shot.
West is still on wobbly legs! Can Creed finish him?
West is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Creed had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Creed lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Creed walks forward, straight into a front kick from West.

West fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Creed ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Nice uppercut lands for West. That snapped Creed's head back.

Creed lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt West or not.
West lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

West misses with a jab, cross combination.
As West backs away, Creed returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
West is looking to land body kicks.
Creed wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
West takes one to the side of the head.
Creed attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
West misses the jab.
West connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
A jab from West finds it's way through Creed's defenses.
West keeps the fight on the outside.

Carson West showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Creed scores a flash knockdown with a right hook that drops West to his hands and knees! The ref pushes Creed away as he looks to land an illegal blow. West got an extra few seconds to recover there, which could have made all the differences as he stumbles back to his feet. The referee looks into his eyes and decides to allow the bout to continue. Can he survive?!

West takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Carson West seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Creed creates a bit of space and cracks West with an uppercut that drops him to the canvas! West is wobbled and seems to be struggling to get back to his feet. 3,4,5. He's up! Phew, his manager will be relieved but they're no doubt wondering whether he'll be able to recover properly and get back in the fight!

West tries to get into range but Creed steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops West! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Creed scores the big KO victory!
