The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fedorin lands with a right hand.
Hodges tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fedorin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hodges somewhat.
Hodges changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fedorin tries to avoid it but Hodges manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fedorin to the ground. Fedorin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Fedorin just misses with a punch to the body.
Fedorin keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aaron Hodges. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hodges shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fedorin as he jumps to the side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hodges is defended easily by Fedorin.

Hodges drops down looking for a counter takedown but Fedorin sprawls and moves away.
Hodges gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Fedorin counters with a one-two to the body.
Hodges shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fedorin sprawls well. Fedorin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hodges gets slowly back to his feet.
Fedorin misses with a series of wild punches.
Fedorin pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Hodges back to the cage. Fedorin follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Aaron Hodges has been cut.

Fedorin is looking to clinch but Hodges is avoiding it.

Fedorin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hodges pushes Fedorin off and gets back to his feet.
Hodges shoots in looking for a takedown. Fedorin tries to sprawl out of it but Hodges keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fedorin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hodges fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Fedorin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Fedorin cracks the inside of Hodges's front leg.
Fedorin stalks Hodges and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Hodges's face. Hodges staggers backwards, shaken.
Fedorin misses with a wild combination.
Hodges feinted with a counter takedown.
Fedorin connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Hodges has taken the fight to the clinch.

Hodges is trying to pull guard but Fedorin has him pressed against the cage.

Fedorin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sloppy strikes from Fedorin. Those never looked like landing.
Hodges fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fedorin avoids it really well and circles away.
Fedorin throws a right and a left that Hodges avoids nicely.
Fedorin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hodges moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hodges looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Fedorin changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Hodges throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fedorin's waist but Fedorin gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hodges off to one side.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hodges wants to clinch but Fedorin slips to the side
and Fedorin counters with a nice uppercut.
Hodges shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Fedorin counters with a two punch combo.

Hodges is rocked!
Fedorin seems to be stalking Hodges here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastating head kick! Hodges drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!
