The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cox drops his hands momentarily and Perisic takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Cox tries to sprawl but Perisic drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Cox tries to kick Perisic off but Perisic keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Cox really is a fat lump.
Cox tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Cox is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Perisic perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Cox wants to improve his position but Perisic is controlling well.
Perisic content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cox is trying to stand back up but Perisic is controlling him
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Cox wants to sweep but Perisic has passed to side control!

Perisic decides to stand up, so the ref orders Cox to his feet.

Cox takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Ivan Perisic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cox steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Perisic.
Perisic scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Nice shot lands for Perisic.
Perisic is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Cox shoots in for a takedown but Perisic shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Perisic is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Perisic gets caught flat footed, as Cox shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Perisic looks winded!

Cox decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Perisic, up you get!
Perisic goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Cox is rocked!

It looks like Reinaldo Cox has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Perisic connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Cox out cold! This one is over in a flash!
