The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Azevedo shoots in but no luck this time.
Azevedo takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Azevedo on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Baby just misses with a punch to the body.
Azevedo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Baby as he jumps to the side.
Baby throws out a counter right but Azevedo avoids it with no problem.
Baby misses with a straight left.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Azevedo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Baby sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Baby swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luiz Correia Azevedo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Baby ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Azevedo moves away.
Azevedo tries to counter with a takedown but Baby is quick to defend against it.

Baby feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Azevedo sprawling to the canvas! Azevedo rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Baby finish him?!

Azevedo is rocked!

It looks like Luiz Correia Azevedo has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A big left from Baby misses.
Baby throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Azevedo fails with the takedown.

Nice defenses there by Baby.
Azevedo goes for a double leg but Baby avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Baby continues to drive forward.
Baby looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Azevedo was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Maxxy Baby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Azevedo gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Baby gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Azevedo is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

After winning the bout, Maxxy Baby thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
