PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Iggy Manley (ranked 2926 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luther Jones (ranked 532 p4p, 0 weight class). Manley comes into the arena with Born in the USA blaring out of the sound system. Jones has chosen One - Metallica as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manley takes a swing at Jones's ribcage but misses.
Manley misses with a takedown
and Jones counters with a nice uppercut.
Manley has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Jones finds it's way round the side to connect with Manley's head.
Manley shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Manley gets the takedown into side control.
Manley trying to control the position but Jones is working away.

Manley is trying to control but can't.

Jones slips a nice elbow through Manley's hands, connecting with Manley's forehead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Manley moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jones lands a nice short elbow.
Manley has hold of Jones's hands but Jones slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Manley looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Manley is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Jones thows a huge punch but Manley dodges it nicely.
Jones uses his free foot to push down on Manley's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Manley.

Manley wants to control but Jones is having none of it.
