And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jaukus Namai!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Osborn tries to close the distance and clinch but Namai swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Osborn fails in his attempt to clinch.
Namai tries to score a power double leg takedown but Osborn sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Namai somewhat.
Osborn was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Namai gets a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Osborn is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Namai pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Namai tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Osborn smiles and moves away.

Namai fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Osborn sprawls well initially but Namai persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Osborn makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Namai has a takedown stuffed.
Mckinley Osborn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jaukus Namai.

Osborn gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Osborn manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Namai misses with a knee strike.
Osborn pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Namai tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Osborn smiles and moves away.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Namai is looking to clinch but Osborn is avoiding it.
Jaukus Namai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Osborn rushes Namai and presses him up against the cage.
Namai manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Osborn breaks from the clinch.

Namai explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Namai fails with an attempt to clinch.

Namai closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Osborn wants to control but Namai postures up.
Osborn wants to get back to his feet.
Osborn is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Osborn wants to get back to his feet.
Osborn could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Osborn trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Osborn manages to escape and get back to his feet.
A head kick misses from Namai.
It looked like Osborn was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Namai.
Osborn stuffs the takedown attempt from Namai. Namai gets slowly back to his feet.
Osborn tries to close the distance and clinch up but Namai swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Namai throws a body shot but no joy.
Osborn appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Osborn slaps away a takedown attempt from Namai, before circling back to the center of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Namai wants to clinch up but Osborn keeps it at a distance.

Osborn goes for a takedown attempt but Namai pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Osborn fails to land with a series of punches.
Osborn misses with a wild combination.
Osborn is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Namai unleashes a big counter combination but Osborn bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Namai shoots in but no luck this time.
Namai lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Namai.


It looks like Mckinley Osborn has been cut.

Osborn displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Namai.
Namai is breathing heavily.
Namai is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Namai looks to land a combination but Osborn avoids it well.
Osborn lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

Osborn turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Osborn manages to end up in side control.

Namai is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Osborn off and has taken his back!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Namai wants to control but Osborn is keeping busy.
Osborn might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Namai is not going to allow Osborn to sit and survive in this position.
Osborn is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Namai is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Osborn is trying escape back to his feet. He turns into his opponent's guard and eventually finds his way back to his feet.

Namai pushes Osborn up against the cage in a clinch.

Namai gets underhooks to prevent Osborn's takedown attempt.
Namai is pressed up against the cage. Osborn has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Namai down to the mat. Namai avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mckinley Osborn. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Osborn closes the distance but Namai moves to the side
and Namai cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Namai will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Namai throws a push kick but Osborn slaps the foot to one side.
Osborn wants to clinch up but Namai keeps it at a distance.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mckinley Osborn will probably get the nod.

Namai tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Namai takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Namai goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Osborn breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mckinley Osborn is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Namai misses with a double jab
and Osborn counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Namai circles away from the clinch attempt.

Osborn has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Namai is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Osborn has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Namai after a bit of a struggle.

Namai is trying to maintain a safe position but Osborn gets an underhook and turns Namai into the cage.
Osborn goes for a takedown in the clinch but Namai prevents it.

Osborn thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Namai's head.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Namai looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Namai keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Namai trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Osborn manages to pass to mount!
Osborn cracks Namai with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Osborn lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Osborn looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Jaukus Namai has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Mckinley Osborn is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Namai is desperately trying to improve his position but Osborn has a good base and remains in mount.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mckinley Osborn showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Osborn has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
