Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jack Silver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rantarunt Iringen!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silver misses with the combination.
Iringen throws a head kick that misses.
Iringen circles away from the clinch attempt.

Iringen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Silver, pushing him back against the cage.
Silver misses with a short punch on the inside.
Iringen is trying to break free.
Iringen wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Silver has him pressed against the cage.

Iringen manages to break the clinch.
Iringen fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Silver tries a head kick but it misses.
Silver throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Silver scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Iringen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Silver connects with a good right hand that stumbles Iringen. Iringen circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Silver is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Silver scoring well with a low kick there.
Silver throws a wild body kick that Iringen sees coming a mile off.
Silver dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Iringen. That did some damage!
Jack Silver seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silver looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A punch lands to the side of Iringen 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Silver throws a head kick but Iringen moves out of range.
Silver wants to clinch but Iringen slips to the side

and Iringen counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Silver!
Iringen looking to control and managing it successfully.
Iringen looks gassed!
Silver really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Silver is trying to stand.

Iringen misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silver keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Iringen thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Iringen controlling his opponent.
Silver knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Iringen on the ground.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Silver dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Iringen shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Iringen tries to pass to full mount but Silver defends it.
Iringen is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Iringen trying to control the action but Silver is working from the bottom.
Iringen thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Iringen wants to pass to mount but Silver is defending the position.
Iringen not doing much here.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Silver avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Iringen.
Iringen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Silver does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Silver feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Iringen's calf.
Iringen looks for a takedown but Silver sprawls well.
Jack Silver is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Iringen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silver's waist but Silver gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Iringen off to one side.
Jack Silver is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Iringen throws a sloppy head kick
and Silver counters with a left and a right that stings Iringen.
Silver lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Iringen is breathing heavily.
Silver scores with a push kick.
Silver throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Iringen stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Silver follows into mount!


Iringen is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silver controlling his opponent.
Iringen is still in real trouble! Can Silver finish him?
Silver has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Silver's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Iringen seems to have recovered his senses.
Silver trying to control but he's not successful this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Silver dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Iringen pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Iringen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Iringen trying to control the position but Silver is working away.
Iringen controlling the position.

Silver manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Silver slows the pace down in half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Iringen manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Iringen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Silver's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Silver looking for a sweep. Not yet Silver, not yet.
Iringen wants to control from the top but Silver keeps moving.
Rantarunt Iringen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Iringen passes Silver's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Jack Silver is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Silver wants to get back to his feet.
Silver is refusing to be controlled, as Iringen sits in half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Iringen throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

And that's the end of the fight!
Rantarunt Iringen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Silver has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
