The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haggerty lands with a nice body punch.
Johnson tries to clinch up but Haggerty circles away and keeps his distance.

and Haggerty counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Haggerty.
Johnson pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Haggerty will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Johnson up against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Johnson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Haggerty drops Johnson with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Johnson looks back up at him and smiles so Haggerty waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Haggerty lands a big uppercut and Johnson crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Johnson looks OK. Haggerty waves Johnson back to his feet!
Stan Haggerty seems to be getting the better of the standup.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Haggerty lands with a big right hook that stumbles Johnson - he's out on his feet here! Haggerty follows up with another monster hook that separates Johnson from consciousness! Johnson falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Haggerty stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
