Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Martin Lawrence (ranked 8842 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sammy Berggren (ranked 7234 p4p, 0 weight class). Berggren has chosen Mozart - Lacrimosa as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Martin Lawrence! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 1 losses; Sammy Berggren!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Lawrence fails to land the takedown.
Lawrence clinches up with Berggren and pushes him back against the cage.
Lawrence ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Lawrence no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Lawrence has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Berggren drops back looking for a leg! Lawrence is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lawrence manages to kick Berggren off! Berggren jumps back into Lawrence's guard.
Berggren thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Berggren tries to free his leg and advance position but Lawrence is retaining full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Berggren drops back looking for a leg! Lawrence is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lawrence manages to kick Berggren off! Berggren jumps back into Lawrence's guard.
Berggren pushes down on Lawrence's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Lawrence is trying to maintain the position but Berggren is very close to passing his half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Berggren is looking for a kimura but Lawrence is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Berggren to get the leverage.
Berggren is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lawrence sees it coming and defends easily.
Berggren is trying for a kimura here. Lawrence looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Berggren wins by kimura!
