Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Bernie Martin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Fabrice Hent!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Sam Margolis and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Hent does no damage.
Hent changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Martin tries to avoid it but Hent manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Martin to the ground. Martin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Martin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hent misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Martin feints and as Hent raises his hands in defense, Martin changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Martin won't allow Hent to sweep him here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Martin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Hent is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


Martin is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hent pulls his head out easily.
Martin looks like he's trying to stand up.

Hent is nestled in close to Martin, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Hent looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Hent lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hent wants to take a breather but Martin is having none of it.

Martin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Hent rushes Martin and presses him up against the cage.
Hent changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Martin fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Hent closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Martin is trying to pull guard but Hent has him pressed against the cage.
Hent has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Martin after a bit of a struggle.

Hent pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Martin shoots in for a double leg but Hent sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Martin slaps away a takedown attempt from Hent, before circling back to the center of the mat.
It looked like Martin wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Hent shoots in for a takedown but Martin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hent slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Martin is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hent looking to sit in guard and control but Martin gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Martin cracks Hent with a solid left hand.
Martin stands up over Hent, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Martin decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
