The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salvador tries to work over Henchoz's front leg with a kick but Henchoz checks it.
Henchoz just misses with a punch to the body.
Jab, jab by Henchoz - just one landing.
Henchoz defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Salvador.
Salvador could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Henchoz uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Salvador.

Salvador darts in and clinches Henchoz up against the cage.
Henchoz lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Salvador ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Salvador no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Salvador is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Henchoz postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Salvador looking to hit a scissor sweep but Henchoz is one step ahead there.

Salvador is looking to cinch up a triangle. Henchoz throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Salvador's body to avoid the submission. Salvador has instead reached around Henchoz's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Salvador arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
