Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keller stuffs the takedown.
Shaw looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Shaw shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Keller as he avoids it easily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Shaw.
Keller drops down looking for a counter takedown but Shaw sprawls and moves away.
Kurt Keller has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Deshawn Shaw.
Shaw throws a left and a right that both miss

and Keller counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Keller wants to pass the guard but Shaw is keeping the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Keller's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Keller is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Keller throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Keller misses with a hook.
Keller throws a lazy right hand but Shaw sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Shaw shoots in but no luck this time.
Keller throws a hook but Shaw blocks it.
Shaw displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Keller throws out the jab.

Keller swings for the body but Shaw moves out of range.
Keller throws a shot from downtown. Shaw moves away and avoids it.
Keller waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Shaw.

Keller clinches up with Shaw and pushes him back against the cage.

Keller gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Keller slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Keller seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Shaw for as long as he can get away with.

Shaw takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Shaw wants to improve his position but Keller is controlling well.
Keller is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Kurt Keller overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Still in half guard, Keller seems content to control.
Keller looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Shaw with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Keller perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Keller is controlling the pace.
Shaw is trying to maintain the position but Keller is very close to passing his half guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Keller throws a looping overhand right but Shaw ducks down to avoid it.

Kurt Keller is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Shaw slips a jab from Keller.
Shaw misses with a takedown attempt - Keller sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Keller has Shaw up against the cage in a clinch.
Shaw blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Keller has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Shaw clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Deshawn Shaw has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Keller is riding his opponent, not letting Shaw buck him off.

And that's the end of the fight!

Well Keller has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
