Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mike Durham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Spinx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Durham comes to the cage accompanied by Amazing by kanye West. The crowd seem to be enjoying Spinx's choice of entrance music: Eye of the Tiger. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durham stuns Spinx with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
No joy there for Spinx, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Durham lands with a nice body kick.

Durham moves into the clinch.

Spinx lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Durham is looking for a sweep. Spinx is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Spinx throws a strike but Durham avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Spinx tries to score with some ground and pound. Durham controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Spinx lands with a kick to the temple. Durham shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Durham throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Durham is looking to wear down Spinx with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Spinx tries to close the distance and clinch up but Durham swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Durham throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Spinx stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Durham is trying to break the clinch but Spinx has him pressed against the cage.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

and Spinx counters with a head kick. That will keep Durham thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

and Durham makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Spinx gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Spinx tries to score a body lock takedown but Durham shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Durham is pressed up against the cage. Spinx has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Durham down to the mat. Durham avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Jack Spinx is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

and Spinx holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Spinx gets control of Durham's arms and successfully pulls guard. Spinx will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Spinx escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Durham gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Spinx wants to sweep here but Durham controlling him for the moment.
