Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Burt gets caught napping as Malone dives in and scores a takedown. Burt manages to retain guard.
Malone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Burt swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Malone wants to stand and escape but instead Burt has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Malone throws his legs up looking for a submission but Burt uses it to pass to side control.
Malone is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Burt takes a little break here. Malone wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Burt is trying to get an arm triangle but Malone is defending well.
Burt tries to move into full mount but can't pass Malone's legs.

Burt trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Malone doesn't escape.
Burt has the hooks in. Malone is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Burt controlling the position well here. Malone rolled but Burt kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Burt is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Malone knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Malone for a finish.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Malone has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Burt is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Malone shoots in and bounces Burt off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Malone wants to control but Burt is keeping him busy.

Burt is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Malone is controlling him well.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Burt lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Burt seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Burt stands up over Malone, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Burt cracks Malone with a solid left hand.
Burt not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Malone has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Burt off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Malone darts in and clinches Burt up against the cage.
Malone struggles to land a body shot inside as Burt controls his hands.
Come on Burt - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Malone is looking to stand up but Burt won't let him.
