Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Isaias Espinoza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Winters!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Dean Styles and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Espinoza misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Winters unleashes a big counter combination but Espinoza bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
John Winters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Winters looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Winters circles away from the clinch attempt

and Winters counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Espinoza not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Espinoza is on top in guard.


Espinoza stands and steps away. Winters gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Winters leaves Espinoza with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Winters changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Espinoza swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Espinoza has Winters up against the cage in a clinch.
Winters fails to pull guard.
Espinoza jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Winters walks away with a smile on his face. Espinoza gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Isaias Espinoza. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Espinoza looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Winters!

Espinoza has an Americana. Winters didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Espinoza is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Espinoza hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
